OUR MISSION | CONNECTING PEOPLE TO JESUS

Most of us don’t know how much we are loved. We believe that God, the creator of the world, loves you! We also believe that if more people knew that they were loved, life would be different.  We want to help everyone experience God’s love in a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

Jesus isn’t like any other leader the world has known. When Jesus was on earth, he showed us how to love God and love others. He started a revolution of love! The powers of this world didn’t like it and they killed Jesus. Of course Jesus could have stopped them, but he willingly laid down his life for us.  The resurrection was the first sign that the powers of this world could not stop the love of God. For those who follow him, Jesus promises the Holy Spirit who empowers us to love the way Jesus does.

We want to help connect you to the God who has overcome death.

We believe that with Christ, these will help us become the church and the people God wants us to be.

• Authenticity – We value honesty. We value people who act in a way that is consistent with who they are; who God has created them to be.
• Courage – We value people who say or do the right thing, even if it is hard.
• Curiosity – We value people who start with curiosity. Asking questions before passing judgement.
• Proximity – We value being present in one another’s lives. We value people who intentionally seek to be with others. We value being near the brokenhearted, the poor, the vulnerable

OUR CORE FOCUS

We want to be a…

• Planting Church – with a culture of empowering leaders and starting new ventures – such as small groups, ministries, churches, and church networks.
• A MULTI-church – In a world that tends to separate people by race, gender, age, and socio-economic status, political identity and beyond, we aspire to be a church that unites people. Here are three specific areas we want to focus on:
  1. Multi-ethnic – we want to embrace the God honoring part of every culture. We don’t want everyone to assimilate into one dominant culture but actively engaging with the different cultural backgrounds represented in our church and our community.
  2. Multi-generation – we want to see adults, students and kids collaborating and serving alongside one-another in the church.
  3. Multi-socioeconomic – we want to be a church that brings people from different socio-economic sectors of society together.

OUR PATHWAY

We believe you can never be closer to God than you are right now! Jesus is known as Emmanuel, or GOD WITH US. So it doesn’t matter what you have done; Jesus is always WITH YOU. All you have to do is receive it.

This is a start. But like any relationship, the more time you spend together, the more you become like them. It’s no different with Jesus. In fact, that’s what the Christian life is all about, becoming more like Jesus. We believe becoming more like Jesus happens by engaging in the four spiritual practices we find in the early church (Acts 2:42-47): WORSHIP, COMMUNITY, SERVING and GENEROSITY.

The Pathway can help you identify where you are in your journey and what it might look like for you to become more like Jesus. The journey begins by exploring one or more of the four practices. Eventually we begin to connect and then one day, we begin to follow Jesus. As we mature, we become a disciple, a person helping others grow in their faith.
